I just wanted to say thank you to the Falmouth Cruise Ship Ambassadors for making our visit to Falmouth a great day. We visited on Saga Pearl II on the 23rd April & were warmly greeted by the Ambassadors & given maps, discount voucher for the Maritime Museum & a copy of ‘A walk through the history of Falmouth’ which we followed & had a great time in doing.

So once again many thanks for making our visit an excellent day out.

There's nothing so warm as a genuine Cornish welcome and we were very proud of the big group of Ambassadors that so enthusiastically greeted more than 600 Fred Olsen passengers from all over the south of England, at both the beginning and end of our 10 day Land's End to John O'Groats cruise.
The Ambassadors, all volunteers, are a huge asset at this gateway to the county, and all the passengers we talked with were hugely impressed by the local knowledge and tips given to make the most of their visit to Falmouth - they are worth their weight in Cornish gold!

While going through our notes from that trip we just found your website and that brought back memories about the welcome to Falmouthby your friendly volunteers. The quick organisation of a small group and finding a taxi driven by a historian to go across to the Atlantic side of your beautiful country was just one highlight. The smiles and friendliness of your people will be remembered by us as an outstanding and unique experience on our long journey.
Thank you and good luck to all your volunteers.

Following my visit to Falmouth I would like to record our appreciation of the welcome given to us by the cruise ship ambassadors. This was my second visit on a cruise ship and it was nice to see the ambassadors again. Many of my fellow cruisers also expressed their appreciation of the welcome shown. I would like to spend a holiday in Falmouth but it's a long way from Littlehampton!

We sailed into Falmouth on board MS Discovery on Monday 22 September to be met by your some of your truly wonderful ambassadors. They are a credit to you, very knowledgeable on local history, local information and even mundane matters as 'where can I purchase a dress shirt that my wife forgot to pack? Also thank you for interesting book on Falmouth centenary.

Thank you and keep up the good work.

Hello,

I would just like to congratulate you on your Cruise Ship Ambassadors who greeted my husband and myself on 22nd September 2014 when we arrived on the ‘Cruise and Maritime’ ship Discovery.

The welcome was very warm and informative giving good advise and suggested places and shops to visit. Then on departure equally pleasant and hoped we enjoyed our visit to Falmouth giving us a memento of our visit.

We certainly will be visiting Falmouth again , this time for a longer period.

Thank you again

Dear Falmouth-Ambassadors,

On our cruise with Aida Cara we visited Falmouth last week.
I would like to thank you for your very warm welcome, that you gave us upon arriving and when the ship left Falmouth again. Surely, we will remember that for a long time.

All the best to you
Best wishes

Thank you Falmouth Cruise Ship Ambassadors. My wife and I were passengers on the Thomson Spirit cruise ship that left the Tyne on Saturday, August 16th on a journey that would take us around the UK and Ireland.
Falmouth was our first port of call and we had decided to do our own thing - the last time we were in Falmouth was approximately 37 years ago.
All too often nowadays, people are ready to criticise and complain, but can never be bothered to send a message of praise and thanks when they receive excellent service as my wife and I experienced when we were met on the dockside by the Falmouth Cruise Ship Ambassadors.
We were given free maps, guides and brochures along with useful tips of where we might spend our limited time whilst in Falmouth. My wife and I are seasoned cruisers and we have never experienced such a warm welcome at any other port of call.
Once again - our many thanks to all the Falmouth Cruise Ship Ambassadors

Last Monday, 18 August we were on board Thomson Spirit which called in at Falmouth. We had a wonderful day exploring Falmouth with our young grandson which was made even more pleasant by the Falmouth Ambassadors Team of people who care greatly about Falmouth and encouraging visitors, young and old, to enjoy the town and its surroundings. We also enjoyed a delicious Cornish Cream Tea with our 12 year old special needs grandson who loves, and is very good at baking, and who now wants to make scones.

Please thank these volunteer Falmouth Ambassadors for their work last week which I heard back onboard ship were greatly appreciated plus the very jolly bus drivers.

My husband and I are hoping to visit Cornwall once again next year with our caravan.

Hi. I would like to say a big thank-you to the Ladies that greeted us off the ship.We found all the information they gave us helped us plan our day and able to find places quicker so that we could get to see all of what the town has to offer. We wish all ports we stopped at were this organised and welcoming . Thanks again to all those who stayed on the harbour all day just to help us out with any questions and for giving us great weather!
