I have been all over the world and Falmouth will always be one of my favorite ports because of the Cruise Ship Ambassadors. I can't imagine a warmer welcome or more fabulous send off. You were there all day long and, as we sailed away, you smiled and waved - and meant it. I told my husband I was ready to move to Falmouth. Fabulous place but even more fabulous people. Many thanks. You guys in the blue shirts rock. Thank you.

I contacted Phil Boddy of the Falmouth Cruise Ship Ambassadors to ask for advice on meeting up with Disembarking passengers on the Saga Sapphire - I have to say how hugely impressed I was by the response I was given. The information provided went beyond logistics and was sensitive to the fact that I was coordinating a group of elderly people with mobility challenges. Thanks Phil, great service!

Dear Ambassadors - Ladies and Gentlemen,

We have returned home after a most enjoyable cruise on the MS DEUTSCHLAND.
But one of our most pleasant memories is your enthusiastic, ind, hearty and helpful welcome in the Harbour of Falmouth. You helped us to hire a car thus we were able to see more of your pleasant County.
Once again we say "Thank you" and hope you'll be able to welcome many travellers like us.

With kindest regards
Dieter & Rosemarie Isensee

These folks are the greatest Ambassadors for their community. Friendly helpful, welcoming. We had a great time there back in May when the Carribean Princess docked in Falmouth.

Your Ambassadors were outstanding. Very helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming. I especially want to thank Penney our guide to S. Mark's Mount and Steve the Ambassador who went out of his way to help me find some cigars in downtown Falmouth. Great job and thank you to all the Ambassadors

To the Good People of Falmouth:

My wife and I recently completed a Princess Cruise which took us,
amongst other places, to the city of Falmouth. Almost as soon as we
got off the ship, we were met by a group of cheerful volunteer
citizens who immediately asked if they could help us find our way to
whatever we wanted to see. They directed us to the city whereupon we
quickly met another group of your citizens who directed us to the
several places in the city we wanted to see. Again, when we had run
out of time, some of your people showed us which road took us back to the ship.

If it had not been for your Ambassadors, we would probably still be
running around Falmouth trying to get back to the ship as it sailed
away from the port. Your Ambassadors made our all too brief of a
stay in Falmouth very much more enjoyable than it would have been otherwise.

I want to thank you all for your help and guidance. I wish other
ports we visited during our cruise had ambassadors as Falmouth
does. Please keep up the good work and continue to guide and direct
more lost souls as they wander your streets.

Thank you all again. Sincerely,

David and Judy Barlow of Ottawa, Canada.

We received a very warm and friendly welcome from the moment we left the tender. The volunteers were very friendly and professional but left us with no doubt that we were very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and all the people were happy to help. All I can say is thank you and very well done.

I wish to express my gratitude for the immensely warm welcome received by your team when MV Discovery docked in Falmouth last week. Tha handy bag full of good information, including the voucher for the OUTSTANDING Maritime Museum, probably the best Museum I have visited in the last five years [Rijksmuseum is next month - we shall see!]

I have cruised into a number of ports, but nowhere have I received such immediate and responsive greeting and I wished to write to express my thanks. And you managed to produce the sun as well. Nice one!

I hope your following day 'biggy' ship welcome went as well, but you must have been exhausted at the end of that one!

Keep up the good work guys and girls and thank-you again. I shall certainly return to Falmouth to have a more detailed look next year.

Had a lovely welcome from the Falmouth ambassadors. Especially welcome after a stormy journey. They helped a group of us organise a taxi to the Eden Project which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Agree with other comments that it is an example of what other areas could do to welcome visitors. Janet and G ordon Holm

Thank you for you lovely welcome to Falmouth - what a happy and very informative group - your are. We went off on a visit to 'The Lost Gardens of Heligan' - which was wonderful; but had loads of information for our return visit - by road, it wont be long before we return. many thanks Lin and Mary

Just a quick note to say how nice it was to be met by all the helpful ambassadors when our ship Discovery visited Falmouth yesterday. We have never experienced anything like this before. It was very helpful and we will certainly consider visiting Falmouth again next time we are in Cornwall.

Your organisation provides an excellent example which other tourest destinations should be encouraged to copy.

Well done !

Thank you so much Phil Boddy for asking Lewis to give us a detailed description of our walking tour on Lizard Point. This has helped us very much in making up our minds and we are now looking very forward to the walk and pub lunch and beer. Looking forward to seeing all your smiling faces on the pier. Thanks again. Many thanks to Phil Boddy for so cheerfully arranging our pending tour to Port Isaac. I am also looking forward to sampling the fare in a Falmouth pub.

Cheers,
Bruce
